In the list of top FSBO selling, no-commission states, Florida has an edge over New York, with over 2600 homes for sale by owner currently listed. And why is Florida the most popular FSBO state . . . The housing market in Florida is the worst out of the entire nation, the sellers have to lower the prices of their properties so much that if they stick with a realtor they’re going to end up upside down. That and, the sellers realize the realtors aren’t producing too many results so they decide to give it a shot on their own.

FSBO Property in Florida is growing like oranges. The problem is that for the longest time Floridians were used to doing it themselves as they really could sell for the longest time without a Realtor. Unfortunately unless it is really agressively priced AND marketed it will be a daughnting task.
I practiced real estate law for 20 years and now as a Realtor I see FSBO’s making mistakes all the time to their detriment. Honestly, sometimes real estate agents are not any better at marketing. The only thing I can do to help is to educate. I like discovering new Internet resources like Fizber.com. Thanks for posting this.
It all boils down to what money you have available, The top reason for selling at the moment is due to mortgage repayments being so high, So if you want to save the commission to the agents , then selling by yourself is the best option.
It’s not just in the USA there are property selling problems, The UK is getting worse and morgage products have decreased by an unbelievable amount.
The governments need to address this issue……
