NACA and Cook County Board President Todd Stroger Announce Same Day Solution for Homeowners with Unaffordable Mortgage
Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA) brings nationwide "Save the Dream" tour to McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois, on July 24-27, 2009
Chicago (PRWEB) July 12, 2009 — The Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA) will announce that a Save the Dream Event is coming to McCormick Place on July 24-27, 2009. Cook County Board President Todd Stroger invited NACA here with support from Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (IL-9) and Congressman Luis Gutierrez (IL-4) to provide the best solution for Chicago homeowners with an unaffordable mortgage.
This is a continuation of NACA’s nationwide Save the Dream Tour, where more than 25,000 homeowners from each event have already participated and thousands of homeowners achieved affordable long-term resolutions. Most importantly thousands of homeowners received same day solutions with their interest rate permanently reduced to 4%, 3% and 2% and if necessary reduced the outstanding principal based on what the homeowner can afford. All of NACA’s services are free.
In preparation for this extraordinary Chicago event, NACA CEO Bruce Marks, President Stroger, Rep. Schakowsky and Rep. Gutierrez will hold a joint press conference on Monday, July 13, at 10:00 A.M. It will be held at the Cook County Administrative Building, 69 West Washington Street, Chicago, IL 60604.
NACA CEO, Bruce Marks, said, "Chicago homeowners with an unaffordable mortgage and others from surrounding states will owe a huge gratitude to Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (IL-9) and Congressman Luis Gutierrez (IL-4). We will be at McCormick Place for four days providing solutions to thousands of homeowners that sound too good to be true."
NACA has a tremendous track record of successful advocacy against predatory and discriminatory lenders as well as providing the best solution. "I thank God NACA intervened. NACA saved our home. We’re saving more than $600 a month," said Surmontee Morgan of Cleveland, one of tens of thousands of homeowners NACA has successfully assisted.
"I am delighted that NACA is bringing its unprecedented Save the Dream program to Chicago to help people hold onto the dream of homeownership. I invited them after seeing the results of NACA’s Save the Dream Events in Washington D.C., Connecticut and South Carolina. We expect to exceed the 25,000 participating at each of those events with thousands of solutions," said President Stroger.
Homeowners are expected to travel long distances to attend this extraordinary event. NACA will have over 500 staff and volunteers including over 250 counselors providing counseling from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. from Friday July 24th through Monday July 27th. Every homeowner with an unaffordable mortgage should take advantage of this extraordinary opportunity.
Anyone interested in attending should pre-register for an appointment if you can but you can also register when you arrive. You can register online at naca.com or by calling toll-free to (888) 499-6222.
