No rental property is allowed in our subdivision. A few years ago, a father bought a house for his daughter, while she was attending UCA. He made some improvements and some upgrades. She also had two roommates. After graduation, they put the house on the market, FSBO. It sold rather quickly and he made a nice profit. So in this case, it worked out well for him to buy a house for his daughter instead of renting. We live in an established neighborhood near a large college campus.
