These days I hear a lot of talk about buzz, marketing and PR in real estate. But, with all the buzz about buzz, there seems to be a lack of useful information about what it is and, more importantly, how to use it in marketing your house for sale.
Some basic terms are explained in simple English in this famous saying that goes like this, "If the circus is coming to town and you paint a sign saying ‘Circus Coming to the Fairground Saturday,’ that’s advertising. If you put the sign on the back of an elephant and walk him into town, that’s promotion. If the elephant walks through the mayor’s flowerbed, that’s publicity. If you can get the mayor to laugh about it, that’s public relations. And if you planned the elephant’s walk, that’s marketing."

Another seller is now offering a free Caribbean cruise to the buyer. He said he has proof that his campaign will sway a buyer to his listing over another.
The developers in Manchester who need to sell 64 condominiums, sparked the idea for a unique marketing concept — buy a $250,000 condo and get a 2008 Honda Accord free. Some builders have even offered to take someone’s existing home and apply it to the cost of the new home-similar to trading in a used car for a new one!
These things don’t necessarily help, but they can’t hurt
