FSBO Website Fizber.com launched a Job Score service which allows home hunters find their dream house close to their workplace.

December 5, 2007 – Fizber.com, a website that details residential real estate listings across the country, announces the addition of a Job Score to their FSBO home listings. Similar to a Drive Score, Job Score shows how far it’s from your home to your workplace and calculates a Job Score based on the data. This option will enable home buyers make searches with much more confidence.

Jobs-housing “balance” is, apparently, high on most people’s agenda. Smart buyers start their home search by checking out potential neighborhoods. Commuting times (e.g., to a workplace) is an important factor to consider when shopping for a home. Before buyers begin looking at homes, they make a list of their priorities – things like location and proximity to their job are usually at the top of the list. Job Score helps house hunters find a home close to their work thus reducing commuting lengths and times.

“Since the location of a house that buyers choose to live in affects the distances they need to travel in order to go to work, to the shops or to take children to school, we added Job Score to each property listing on our website,” said Julia Foster, Vice President of Marketing, Fizber.com.

• Job Score calculates the distance between a house and a workplace in miles and minutes.
• Job Score offers driving directions and a detailed map of your journey from home to work.
• Job Score shows statistics on employment and unemployment data for a given state.
• Job Score allows potential buyers to find out about salaries by a job function in a particular state.
