During Inman News’ Real Estate Connect conference in San Francisco last week San Francisco-based vFlyer captured the award for Most Innovative Web Service. The company allows home sellers, agents and brokers to customize online ads, print or e-mail property fliers, send out these ads to a variety of property-search portals, and view detailed metrics on traffic to those ads. VFlyer is constantly releasing new marketing tools for agents, including widgets that display their listings and most recently, a tool that can quickly enhance property photos.

Miami Beach based for-sale-by-owner site Fizber also uses most innovative web 2.0 technologies – Blogs, integrated Google Maps, Bird’s Eye View, Web Cam, and Fizber Video – to promote customers’ listings on the Internet. Fizber is also constantly releasing marketing tools for home sellers and buyers to enhance their chances of selling/buying a property “by owner”.

Such sites as vflyer.com and fizber.com are innovators in their fields, and I am sure it’s the beginning of the end of old-fashioned and traditional real estate and for sale-by-owner sites like forsalebyowner.com, fsbo.com, realtor.com and a lot more. I don’t say they “suck”, but they definitely “disappoint”
